Vitopel is qualified and certified to work in packaging projects utilizing BOPP, for food contact, developed with resins produced by pyrolysis based chemical recycling.

At Vitopel, we are always looking for innovations that not only meet the needs of our customers, but also respect the environment and collaborate with the circular economy. ANVISA’s new regulation on resins from chemical recycling is an important milestone for the plastic packaging industry, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this change, as Vitopel is fully compliant with regulations and ensures that its polyolefin food contact packaging films are available on the market to meet manufacturing needs, of each link in the plastic production chain.

In this scenario, Vitopel also reinforces its commitment to sustainability by going through the recertification process on ISCC Plus, an international compliance awareness of the company capability to produce BOPP films from circular and renewable base resins. With ISCC Plus, Vitopel ensures that the volume of recycled raw material entering its production process is converted into high-quality, mass balance-proven end products.

In line with the new guidelines of this regulation of food and packaging, Vitopel’s V.Planet family of films opens up various development paths, being able, in each link of the chain, to ensure its performance function, sustainable goals and commitments for Converters and Brand Owners. This fact reflects the essence of the company in cooperation development model focused on each step of the business chain.

In addition to BOPP solutions with PCR content of mechanical origin, already available for the markets of pressure sensitive labels, roll fed labels and secondary packaging, through the brand V.Planet PCR, the new formal clearance of Anvisa allows us to expand our performance for flexible packaging in BOPP for the entire food market, using resins from renewable sources and doing our role at the relevant circular movements.
